Powers and Special Abilities: See Power Ring under Weapons and Gear. He is a highly experienced test and combat pilot and can quickly learn the controls of more or less any personal sized craft built for a humanoid occupant, given time.

Weapons and Gear:

Power Ring: A ring made of an unknown material that is able to focus his thoughts into solid constructs made of 'hard light.' The ring runs on a limited power source and must be regularly recharged with his Lantern Battery. The ring can create constructs of anything within reasonable size, provided Hal has an intimate knowledge of their workings, allows flight and survial in space and harsh environments without proection until the power expires. The ring is utilized by the wielder's will power and imagination and is powered by the users courage.

Lantern Battery: A large lantern imbued with power to recharge his power ring. He must thrust his hand with the ring into the lantern and recite the Green Lantern's oath to recharge.


Weaknesses: Hal Jordan is a normal, mortal human being with no special abilities or powers outside of his ring. To even use the ring, Hal must be without fear and able to concentrate or at least think clearly (the courage helps with this), depending on the size of the constuct; simple things without moving parts, flight and protection limited to his personal space is easy, replicating anything complicated and mechanical or extending his flight or protection can get very difficult as the effect gets bigger. The ring has to be recharged more often and requires a little more work because he is no longer in contact with the planet Oa, the ring's origin, which is in his home dimension.


Background (Please keep this semi-short - the best way to find out about a character is through roleplay): Hal Jordan is a former Air Force Pilot and test pilot who became a member of the Green Lantern Corps almost by accident and is now the guardian of the sector of the galaxy where his Earth lies.
