05.04:

Seron - Important construction was finished today on the planet of Seron, the Coalition of Realities' first attempt to colonize a planet entirely with dimensionally displaced refugees. The construction was of Seron's first colony's main building, called the 'Grey Keep' by the planet's coordinators, Sir Sirus and Dame Sie Irons. In a brief interview, the Irons confirmed that the Keep was named in honor of CoRe Council member and former Central Marshal, Carl Grey.

"Councilman Grey is the reason the Seron Project is advancing so swiftly, and without his aid thousands of refugees would be crowded on Veronox and Gatekeeper for far longer than is sustainable," stated Sir Irons.

Seron's first colony is currently under construction and is being run by a skeleton crew of specialized and trained refugees, but Dame Irons says she hopes to have the planet's new residents begin to arrive within the next 1 - 2 standard months.

Gatekeeper - A month after its disappearance, very little has been discovered concerning the whereabouts of the Marshalship craft The Liberation, a patrol vessel that went MIA in Dimension 972-A. Officer Arrie Xionir states that a specialized search and rescue crew has been assigned The Liberation's case and has recently departed Gatekeeper.

05.09:

Gatekeeeper - A fight broke out in the popular civilian run restaurant, Beth's, late last evening. It was reportedly caused by a civilian transport pilot reneging on a bet with a Third Rank Marshal.

Last evening Gatekeeper security was called to the popular diner by one of the establishment's wait-staff. Security found the Marshal and the pilot engaged in a furious brawl, resulting in minor property damage and the pilot's broken nose.

"The 'port pilot bet our third ranker there that he couldn't eat a 12 egg omelet," said an employee of Beth's who requested to remain nameless. "The third ranker did it like a pro but the portie refused to pay up."

Both participants had been drinking at Zaphod's on Deck 211 for a good deal of the evening, onlookers said. Both made bail and it is unlikely Beth's will press charges.

"Eh, that's a Thursday," remarked the anonymous employee.

05.09:

The Void, capitalship of Reven, Dimensional Space Lord, has been sighted again, this time in Dimension 412-1B.

Marshalship contacts arrived on the scene rather late, but information was plentiful - in exchange for its compliance and adhering to the Void's authority, the home planet in question - Vixion VII - was 'cleansed' of its unpopular government. The Void's services by the 'revolutionists' were voluntarily called upon by the beleaguered populace, having suffered through droughts and high taxes that its citizens dubbed unfair and treasonous to its common people. Though it was expected that the Void would simply open more forceful dialogue, apparently every governmental employee, agent, and official, elected or otherwise, perished less than 24 hours after the agreement was 'finalized'. Wounds appear to be via straight beheadings in most cases, in others simple, deep chest wounds.

The 'revolutionists', now at the helm of a planet with little to no structure left to build upon, were not available for comment - the Void's forces themselves have not remained behind save for a single outpost focusing on simple contact, with little military firepower.

Dimension 412-1B - Revolutionists taking control of the heavily populated planet Vixion VII have ousted Marshalship forces who moved in after the planet's government was single-handedly destroyed by forces associated with The Void.

Four Marshalship vessels with full crews arrived on Vixion VII just hours after all members of the planet's government were found assassinated. Marshals immediately began to parley with the revolutionist forces on the planet, but were quickly shut down by the general populace's overwhelming approval of The Void's aid and Reven's decision to pull out of planetary affairs afterwards, except for a single solitary non-violent outpost focusing on diplomacy. Approval was so overwhelming and dangerously in The Void's favor that violence and rioting towards the Marshalship vessels in question began early in the morning, causing all four ships to pull out rather than arrest large amounts of the populace.

Central Marshal Aria Paixi was unavailable for comment, though her office released a general statement assuring that diplomatic overtures would continue with Vixion VII, via holo and comm systems.

Major Jim Foster secured an unprecedented interview with the Dimensional Space Lord Reven, and his Left Hand, Verse Swiftblade, via a special simulator in Gatekeeper.

This is the first interview Reven has granted since his arrival in dimensional politics and events not long after the Day of Lessons, despite his now-legion army aboard the Void, his capital flagship. His swath through the multiverse has not gone unnoticed, leaving husks of planets and destroyed civilizations in its wake, as well as correcting spacial imperfections and saving entire races from natural disasters and corrupt governments as well.

The interview follows:

Dimension 889 - Today the planet Tira of Dimension 889 has been declared stable by Marshalship and CoRe inspection teams. Tira has recently suffered planet-wide natural cataclysm in the form of near-apocalyptic flooding. 78% of the planet's land-mass was flooded over in a very short time, causing massive amounts of property damage and risk to life. The Marshalship intercepted the planet's hails for aid and immeaditly sent rescue/evacuation, medical and research teams.

The Marshalship assignment vessel, The Falls of Clyde, captained by Marshal Ethan Rooks, was able to stabilize the atmosphere and weather-patterns, causing the rains to cease.

Evacuation and rescue teams were able to fully staff and make 17 hospitals on the remaining high ground active, as opposed to the 2 that were accessible before Marshalship aid. They delivered supplies as well.

Medical teams were pulled together from a wide variety of Marshalship vessels (including the Starfire, the Mother's Touch, the Nova's Fist, the Blaze of Glory, the Debra, the Heart of Sword, the Lisa's Eyes, and the Freedom of Action). The medical teams were able to relieve the planet's own medical crews and handle the majority of critical and severe accident victims. Marshalship medical crews will continue to visit Tira on a regular basis to monitor recovery and help discourage decease outbreak.

Marshalship engineering crews are currently being assembled to help Tira rebuild destroyed property and set up proper drainage systems.

The Marshalship News Feed Empty Re: The Marshalship News Feed

05.18:
::Update::
Dimension 096-1F - Less than four months ago, the Earth of Dimension 096-1F was destroyed by the criminal known as Reven. His motives involved the planet's failure to comply with his demands regarding the unstable leylines causing a great risk to both the planet, the dimension and surrounding dimensions. This dimension, allied with the Marshalship and CoRe, refused to give up its alliances and was currently working with the CoRe to repair the severely damaged leylines.

After Reven's three day ultimatum, the Void, CoRe and Marshalship forces all worked to evacuate the unstable planet. During this time there were multiple skirmishes between Marshalship vessels and the forces of the Void. However, the standoff only ended when Reven ruptured the planet's core and somehow created a black hole, completely destroying the Earth.

Field Marshal Second Rank Yahiko Nagisa, born on the Earth of Dimension 096-1F, commented, "Evacuation efforts were incomplete even considering the Void's attempts. He didn't give anybody enough time. We just never had enough time."

Not quite four months since Earth's destruction, the surviving evacuees are still attempting to find places to make a new life. Many have found homes on other allied planets in the dimension, but others still live out of shelters on Verorox or on the retrofitted junk-haulers that had been used for extraction before the planet was destroyed.

The new refugee hub planet of Seron is a great hope for many of the survivors, especially now that the planet's first colony is tentatively taking on its first civilian settlers. More survivors of this crime have joined the Marshalship or CoRe in combat roles than survivors of any other planetary destruction/evacuation to date, many professing a desire for revenge or justice and many more simply wanting a chance to find family or loved ones that may have been evacuated onto the Void itself.

The Marshalship News Feed Empty Re: The Marshalship News Feed

Post by Sokai Sun May 24, 2009 9:55 pm

05.24:

Miranda System, Dimension 624 - A system wide cataclysm has ravaged the Miranda planets of Dimension 624. Prior to the unknown event that destabilized the entire system, the Void, flagship of the criminal Reven's forces, was spotted in the system by security patrol ships. Little is known about the reason for the Void's presence, and even less is known about what has caused 8 of the Miranda planets to become dangerously unstable, wracked by natural disasters, weather irregularities, leyline damage and magical anomalies.

A hail for aid intercepted by the Marshalship claimed the gods themselves had fled the Miranda system. Miranda is one of the few known systems to have open communication with beings worshiped as 'gods.' These gods consist of a powerful pantheon that support the planets' wellbeing, according to the CoRe database.

This is the fourth event in a recent series of catastrophes to plague unrelated dimensions, beginning with the planet Tira of Dimension 889 which was pelted with unnatural flooding due to a still-unknown cause. The Void has been spotted in three of the four recent events.

According to a statement released by the office of Central Marshal Aria Paixi, the Marshalship has already begun to respond to the plight of the Miranda system, sending one of the largest concentrations of force to be gathered in one place since the Day of Lessons, over five years ago.

The Marshalship News Feed Empty Re: The Marshalship News Feed

Post by Sokai Mon Jul 13, 2009 9:21 pm

07.13:

Verorox
- After two and a half weeks of deliberations between the CoRe Advisory Council and the Office of the Central Marshal, as well as failed attempts to contact The Void with a demand to stand down, this formal declaration was released from Verorox today.

-

Formal Declaration of War
With Regards to the criminal known as 'Reven' and his faction known as The Void
Declared by The Coalition of Realities with Agreement of The Interdimensional Marshalship

On this day, we, the Advisory Council of the Coalition of Realities (CoRe), by unanimous vote, formally declare a state of war between the Coalition and the faction known as The Void, led by the self-styled Lord of Space, Reven. The Inter-Regional Police Organization (iRPO) have officially relinquished their claim of prosecution of Reven (as a criminal of their own jurisdiction) and have authorized the Coalition of Realities and the Interdimensional Marshalship to fully further handle encounters with The Void and pursue Reven for prosecution of multidimensional war-crimes. The leader of The Void is no longer classified as a simple criminal but as a multidimensional catastrophe, terrorist and war-criminal by all forces allied with the Coalition of Realities and the Interdimensional Marshalship.

The Coalition of Realities has been forced to declare this state of war by the following acts, which have made peace impossible:

  • The Void has not compromised and has failed to respond favorably to negotiations with CoRe or Marshalship
  • The Void has committed genocide, planetary destruction and a multitude of crimes against the regard of sentient lifeforms
  • The Void has violated Dimensional Regulations And Safety Codes of Conduct
  • The Void has performed unprovoked aggressions upon civilian, neutral, CoRe and Marshalship peoples, ships, structures, civilizations, worlds, systems and dimensions with intent of theft, terrorism and destruction;
*The most recent of which being The Void's attempt to invade and/or destroy the greatly undefended civilian refugee settlement of Seron
  • The Void's actions have been acts of war against the Coalition of Realities and the whole of existance;
*The most recent of which being The Void's attempt to invade and/or destroy the greatly undefended civilian refugee settlement of Seron
*As well as the multidimensional criminal Reven's stated goal to impose his 'Ideal' forcibly upon existence

This state of war may be resolved with the following acts:

  • The multidimensional criminal known as Reven must surrender to the Coalition of Realities, Interdimensional Marshalship or other allied organization/government
  • The faction known as The Void must be completely dissolved
  • The Void must compromise a peace treaty with the Coalition of Realities or the Interdimensional Marshalship, affecting The Void's further actions in regards to the whole of existence and all known dimensions

This is a joint resolution between The Advisory Council of the Coalition of Realities and the Interdimensional Marshalship, led by Central Marshal A. Paixi. The CoRe Council has voted unanimously without objection, as has the Central Marshal and all officers of the Interdimensional Marshalship. With no objections, this resolution of a formal declaration of war is immediately in effect.

Gatekeeper - Reports are coming in that the Marshalship prison transport vessel Endymion has vanished while en route to the newly reopened maximum security prison facility on Crematoria. No official statement has yet been made as to the cause of the disappearance, however search and rescue vessels have been dispatched along the Endymion's recorded route to re-establish contact and aid the vessel as necessary.

The Crematoria facility is intended for the long term holding and rehabilitation of interdimensional criminals deemed too dangerous by the Marshalship and local authorities to be safely held within their home dimensions once due process of law has been completed. The nature of the Endymion's passengers and their destination has raised concerns, but further comment from the Marshalship is being withheld until the situation has been clarified.

Gatekeeper - Further developments have come to light in the investigation into the disappearance of the Endymion and her escorts. The Arcadian Thorn, one of the vessels assigned to the rescue effort, has reported finding a debris field along the transport's route. Analysis of the debris has revealed it to be a mixture of Void and Marshalship starship hulls. While speculation abounds as to how the Void could have placed a task force to intercept the Endymion or for what reasons they would make the attempt, no further sign of the ship itself has been discovered at this time.

A small private memorial service is being planned for the families of the crew aboard the escort ships confirmed lost.

Verorox - Latebreaking development - after a rather controversial series of debates and reports, Dimension 493 - otherwise known to many as the world of Pokemon - has officially been accepted into the Coalition of Realities.

Newly admitted as a representative into the CoRe Advisory Council is Professor Samuel Oak. Due to previous obligations, however, until Samuel Oak is able to fully take his position, Professor Rowan of the Sinnoh region and another representative of his choice will serve on the council.

Post by Sokai Thu Oct 08, 2009 10:24 pm

10.08:

Dimension 412-1B - A dimension that has already felt the influence of the Void is now feeling even more of the faction's recruitment practices and propaganda.

Five months ago, a bloody revolution was sparked by the Void on Vixion VII and wholly ousted any CoRe or Marshalship personnel from the planet. Vixion VII is now, after failed negotiations, entirely loyal to the Void, and Reven appears to have his eye on other planets in the Vixion galaxy.

Recently a new type of emissary of the Void has been seen on other Vixion planets; referring to themselves as the 'Champions of the Ideal,' these soldier-poets seem to be charged with spreading the belief of Reven's 'Ideal' as a life changing philosophy as well as recruiting all manner of people to the Void's cause.

"She was wearing this big gray suit of armor like something out of a vid," says an eye witness who asked to remain nameless, describing a 'sermon' from one of the self proclaimed Champions. "She never raised her voice to yell or anything, but the stuff she said carried all over the street, and every one who heard her stopped to listen. It was pretty intense."

So far this new style of recruitment appears to be at least somewhat successful, paired with the Void's reputation. Vixion VI, the world nearest to Vixion VII, has recently ceased talks with the CoRe, citing both concerns of hostility from Vixion VII and widespread public disapproval of the CoRe.

Gatekeeper - In response to the Void's recent method of spreading its ideology via the 'Champions of the Ideal', one C.T.I. researcher has created an in-depth study in order to better understand the reasons we're at war. A recent interview was established with the researcher in question who left reporters with the real motivation.

This dispute ultimately boils down to answering one very serious question. Its [sic] the goal of my research to provide that with a serious answer.

The study itself can be followed below. Read at one's own discretion, the results are startling.

Post by LocheEric Tue Dec 22, 2009 8:38 pm

12.22:

The Multiverse - The Void has ended its apparent lull in action, initiating combat in 12 different dimensions today, the earliest of which occurring at 0900 hours this morning.

Roughly three warships arrived above the industrial planet of Tarsoni - a CoRe aligned planet rich in minerals and other rare metals - and immediately began an offensive roughly 15 minutes after a dimensional jump initiated by the Gift of Dimensional Space Magic was detected. Targets included a vacant processing plant and several Marshalship barracks and defense encampments.

The attack was repelled by CoRe defenses and quickly-deployed Marshalship forces with 32 known CoRe-aligned casualities. No civilian casualities were reported. Total Void casualties are unknown.

Other reported targets for the Void across the multiverse seemed to share the same theme - resource-rich planets and supply storehouses used to provide CoRe with the fuel necessary to run a dimensions-spanning coalition.

"They're on the run," Marshalship officer Malcolm Freed declared in a statement issued shortly after the attacks. "The main reason the Void was ever in a lull in the first place was simply because we have consistently hurt them where they hurt the most. Seron was an overwhelming example of how this supposed Gift can be easily countered, and it just took this long to lick their wounds. Apparently they wish to take the fight to a more conventional level; the Marshalship stands more than willing to oblige them."

12.25:

The Multiverse - A one day cease fire seems to have spread over the battlegrounds of war between the Void and Marshalship today, with no signs of pressed conflict or shots fired in several ongoing altercations.

Unofficial leaks from both factions seem to signal that this is an informal cease-fire, not actual cessation of hostility. Yet some Marshals and Void personnel seem to be using the time to either jockey for position, withdraw the wounded, or simply hunker down and wait.

More details as developments arise.

Post by LocheEric Sat Dec 26, 2009 7:45 pm

12.26:

The Multiverse - Fighting across the multiverse picked up again today as of 3PM DST in six new dimensions as the Void and the Marshalship continue what is fast becoming a resource-heavy stage in what has been termed the 'Void Conflict'.

The main targets seem to be primarily resource nodes, both vacant and occupied, ranging from khaydarin crystals (a crystal naturally imbued with psionic energies, and a popular magitechnological fuel source) to rare metals such as vibranium, to even base fossil fuels such as gasoline for more primitive weaponry. Avoiding civilian casualties seem to be a prime concern for both factions, neither of which seem eager to give ground on the political field of the multiverse at large.

While the CoRe and Marshalship have been strained on resources since Day One of the Void Conflict, the Void has been gaining the lead in numbers fairly quickly - not only in troops, but civilians and recruits drawn in by the Ideal. No colonies by the growing would-be monarchy have been sighted yet, leading many to believe that Reven, leader of the Void, is simply attempting to house as many as he can within the starship's confines.

Experts have been quick to note that this can't go on forever - thus leading many analysts to believe that attempting to secure vast amounts of resources may be a desirable goal of the Void for more reasons than simply denying the Marshalship.

More details as developments arise.

According to CoRe urgent alerts, the Void had viciously attacked and destroyed at least five important locations across the Multiverse within the last 36 standard hours.

All five locations were CoRe installations. Two were manufacturing facilities dedicated to processing standard Peacekeeper equipment - specifically personal weaponry and powered armor - located in the Gliese system. Also destroyed was a Peacekeeper training base on Artika Prime of the Protoss home dimension, used as a boot camp for new recruits, and a mining installation in the Kuiper-belt of Dimension 096-1F, which was harvesting volatile substances. Details on the final location are confidential, CoRe has only publicly released that it was a 'communications hub.'

The death toll is still being calculated as rescue and recovery efforts work around the clock, but the CoRe thus far estimates fatalities to be between 7,000 to 10,000.

At this point in time it is uncertain how Void forces were able to accomplish such substantial damage before distress calls went out at each location, but the CoRe has said it believes there was a very small but powerful attacking force, including the being known as 'Raven Godslayer,' known murderer of the Great Dragon of Origold, Zaea, and purported 'Right Hand of the Void.'

Updates will continue as new information arrives.

::Update::

Another three important CoRe locations have been assaulted by the Void since the previous five attacks. These most recent assaults have left a ship building facility and a large CTI-lead research compound completely razed.

The third facility, another Peacekeeper training site in the Protoss home dimension, managed to rebuff the Void's attack. The training facility locked down into defensive measures as the Void assaulting force, lead by Dietrich Weber (a known leader within the Void command structure), attempted forcible entry into the main compound. The CoRe forces held off Weber's attacking force until Protoss reinforcements arrived. A skirmish erupted, in which the Void forces retreated, at the cost of heavy causalities to each side. Weber was previously unaccounted for, after a large-scale space battle in which he attempted to self-destruct his ship, the Leviathan. The ship was captured by Marshalship forces, who found no sign of Weber.

Recovery efforts continue on the original five sites attacked and destroyed by the Void, with estimated fatalities remaining in the range of 8,000 to 9,000 persons. Estimated fatalities after the recent attacks are in the range of 2,000 to 4,000 CoRe personnel and 600 Void personnel. Fatalities were particularly dramatic at the CTI research compound, due to the high number of personnel at the site in an undisclosed location.

Following these developments, CoRe Peacekeeper forces are being deployed in heavy defensive concentrations, including offensive forces being recalled from the field and even the deployment of the notably high concentration of Peacekeepers usually on duty in Kilan City. A press release from the office of the Central Marshal states that Marshalship forces are not being diverted from current assignments at this time.

Approximately 50 Void prisoners were taken from the speedy withdrawn attacking force. These prisoners are currently being held by Protoss templars until they can be extradited to Marshalship custody for further questioning.
