What's the Haps for Library and Engineering

There's a new book in the BoG library, the first volume of Jim's book has been data-published for speed distribution by Knessem publishing. See the previous IC post about the contents of the foreword of Jim's book to give some idea of how it is written.
Engineering/The science department has received a mysterious research grant, as well, totaling about 50% of Jim's initial advance for his 3 book series. No name or comment is attached.
