Current Character Happenings

Here's a place to post some details about your characters' recent activities, to keep people aware of each other.

Aedin has mostly been working on refining his Anti-Reven incantations, although Ralf has yet to get back to him, and his Card Detector is about ready for testing whenever Sakura's up for it! More recently, he's been developing more efficient enchantments to turn crystal shards retrieved as souvenirs during the Protoss campaign into "reservoir stones," or essentially small mana batteries.

Jackal has been making sure her machines (and Shaila's!) are prepared for combat if the need arises in their upcoming visit to Ali's homeworld, and has also been preparing for her scheduled replacement of Revia as Security Chief.

Nik has really just been enjoying the opportunity to relax and hang around on Gatekeeper with Damia. Not a lot else for a helmsman to do when the ship's docked, after all. He also still does his swashbuckler sim for fun.

Talia has recently discovered that not only is her older brother alive and well, but he's a Marshalship instructor. The news was understandably a shock to her, but it seems to have loosened her tongue around others somewhat. A small bit of good news among what has otherwise been a fairly bad year for her does wonders for her demeanor.

Erim is busy keeping up with any and every errand Ralf happens to realize he needs someone to do, while still keeping his combat skills sharp.

Omega has been mostly gathering dust in the infirmary with no major injuries to treat, but he's been assisting Ness's instruction in formal medical technique and administering tests.

Eleste has been 'volunteered' by Galvan to replace him as ship's Quartermaster. In exchange, she's getting more advanced lessons in the assassin's stealth and combat techniques. Not to mention all the ideas already running through her shady little head of just what that position might allow her to accomplish on board. GG Galvan. GG.

Jim is training Shinwei in basic armoring and part-replacement techniques for robots and space fighters. He's also been practicing stealth, assault, and multi-target engagements in the sims, the first 2 on a personal level, the last on a robot level.

Roland is just chillin and being a retired badass.

Aliciel has mostly been hovering around here and there trying to decide what she really wants to do. She has some small things packed already in her room in case her final decision rests on leaving for her home world. She's taking her time and trying to do as much as as she can with everyone and doing all the last minute things she wants to do. At the same time she's anxious about leaving to see her home, but afraid she won't see the others again. Athena hasn't been of much help either lately as her opinion seems one-sided.


Sakura has been doing normal, teenager stuff. She occasionally stays in her room to read or study so she can keep up with her studies. Once in a while she'll go to the gym for baton practice or the simulators for magic practice. She's still really excited she got the Move Card from Shaila's home world and hopes to find the others soon too.

Keona for the most part has been comfortably content as the ship "den mother" and working on some spell research, not really bothered by all the goings on about the ship.

Anri lately has been a bit more hyper as she tries to figure out just how she can help. Recently she's taken to "patrolling" the ship, pretty much mimicking Aliciel and Jackal, feeling she's actually helping keep the ship safe.

Devon for the most part is still settling in and getting used to the tech around the ship and gatekeeper, and wondering why there are so many "kids" on the ship.

Endicott has been busy getting ready for his new job as Chief Engineer of the ship. He can be found bouncing between Engineering and the galley whenever he has a free moment.

The Ziz has been preparing to leave the ship and even says he's leaving, but hasn't left yet. Maybe he's gotten cold feet?

Revia has been preparing for her resignation, and is welcoming the opportunity to spend less time organizing security and more time pursuing her own interests. These include training Elenaya, as well as training her own Force abilities, having recently reached a new level of skill.

Ness is deep into his medical studies and is advancing at a steady rate. He recently learned a new variation on Rockin', and is still working on jumping and landing using his powers.

Visyet has been holding martial arts classes every morning, and spending time in the evenings with individual students for training in specific areas.

Challen has been testing out the new ammunition types to make sure they work like they should, as well as helping alleviate some of Shaila's workload in the gunshop.

Crono has begun to settle into a daily routine aboard the Blaze now that hes been around a bit. This routine involves working too late, burning out, waking up late, working in the gym for a few hours and then working on simulations for the rest of the day. Since his goal is to create technologies for the crew, he always keeps his door open and tries to remain overly accessible. Hes often up too late simply under the fact that he runs a few private simulations in the evening involving efforts he doesn't want disturbed to keep himself up to pace with a crew he sees as surprisingly powerful.

Shin has been spending time in the sims improving his skills with rifles, and recently got involved in Alex and Shai's superhero sim. He's adjusted pretty well to life on the Blaze of Glory, which has become his new home. He considers the crew his "family", and he feels that this is why he's adjusted so well.

If he's alone with nobody around for more than a couple hours, Shin starts to get nervous and will try to find people to be around. This actually happened just a couple weeks ago, and he's been wanting to talk to Quatre about it since then. Hopefully he'll be able to do that soon.

Lumina has finally aquired a position on the ship! She does the dishes in the galley! ... And cleans the overall galley area when there is a mess to be fixed up.

Much to her regret she had to clean blood off of the floor on her very first day after finally sarting a job on the wonderous Blaze of Glory. She'd rather clean ketchup and mustard stains, after all.

Nyx is actually around and getting along with most of the crew. Also in a creepily great mood lately.

Ka likes Ziz, who brought him port and raw hamburger. Good man in his book. Also more annoyed with Nyx than usual.

Shin started taking small arms training with Major Cless last week, and is hoping he'll do well with that. He's also been dating a girl about his age named Sina Akara, who he met and danced with at the formal ball just two months ago. It's been going well for him so far. The two of them seem to really enjoy each others company, since they spend time together just about every day. Shin is hoping their relationship will last a long time.

Alex has taught Nyx how to crimp. This possibly spells destruction for crew sanity.

MK has been doing behind-the-scenes normal stuff, as an aside to his research for more diabolical and incredibly beneficial sciency gadgets.

Tux is still cookin' away in the galley! Servin' the good meals too!

Aliciel has been doing her normal routines again. She's finally taking an easy after all the problems and chaos on Sion has been resolved. She still does her security walks on the ship though, but she's a little more at ease and less jittery to an extent. If she's not doing her rounds, then she's spending time in the galley cooking or doing her sisterly teasing of Shaila. She can also be seen spending quite a bit of time with Hayate too which might be another reason she's mellowed out so much since Sion.

Athena is her usual bitchy, sarcastic, obnoxious self. Although, she is a little less quick to argue since Sion's resolve.

Sakura is doing her usual teenager things. She spends her time rollerblading in Gatekeeper, practicing her baton twirling in the gym, practicing her magic and Cards in the sims, and even going as far as putting her nose into some educational texts. She's been trying to sense for more Cards with the help of Aedin.

Amunet is being a seclusive little snake. Most of the time, she spends her days in the comfort and familiarity of her quarters. She isn't too comfortable walking around Gatekeeper or the halls too much. She's still trying to adjust from intense heat and burning sand to cold, dull metal. However, that doesn't stop Isis from her usual roaming around the ship looking for poor souls to torment like Ness or Neoko.

Sigmin has been going out to Gatekeeper every now and then. She wants to get to know the area and the type of people there. She hasn't bought much in the way of souvenirs and just observes the place. Once in a while, she'll go to the galley for tea and food. Still, her favorite place on the ship remains to be Biometrics where she claims its peaceful and quiet enough she can finally hear her own thoughts. However, lately she seems to be dragged out of her quiet bubble by Jim and into the gym a lot.

Revia is advancing Elenaya's training, but is otherwise just enjoying the slow pace of things. Her studies have turned inward, honing her more esoteric Force abilities such as Battle Meditation and Mind Trick. She has also been helping a few crewmembers with mental defense training.

Ness is still doin' his doctor studyin' thang. His new Rockin' Ride power gives him much greater mobility during combat, allowing him to quickly move from place to place, so he's excited to put it to the test in a real combat situation.

Visyet is doing the same thing he always has: generalized self-defense classes in the mornings and personalized training in the evenings. He's got himself a routine and he likes it.

Challen is still puttering around the gunshop and helping Alex with firearms training. She's reluctant to take an official position on the Blaze because, in her words: "If I took a job in the gunshop, I'd get bitched at for helping with firearms instruction. If I took a job in firearms instruction, I'd get bitched at for spending so much time in the gunshop."

Jim is finishing up Visyet's training with him, continuing to train stealth tactics with Cless, and trains Emile and Andra Martin in jet piloting, for now, during the afternoons.

He's also dragging Sigmin off on occasional training exercises, and is basically engaging all comers with his newly learned swordskill, seemingly shrugging off victories or losses with equal abandon.

WHen he's not doing any of the above, he's practicing in the sims with the Revenant, or quadruple-checking the armored Auxiliary's fitness for war, which has become something of a catchphrase for him.

A large black-and-white starship, the TSA's flagship 'Claudia' is docked in one of the hangars at Gatekeeper. Several visiting dignitaries from Midchilda, the Belkan Autonomous Region, the Saint Church, and the TSA are here to coordinate with the Marshalship and CoRe, regarding the Interdimensional Criminal Reven.

Neoko had been rarely coming out of her room, but using propriety, tradition and kindness, Seiya has drawn her out to go sit vigil for Evan on the observation deck. They took Ju-san, complete with little black funeral hat.

Sokai continues to attempt to run diagnostic tests on Shadow, but every time she starts them up, something ends up happening to make her leave the hangar. She has had an offer from Ralf that she needs to share with the rest of the MI's small crew.

Anneys is resting, having stressed her already somewhat fragile body with all of her hectic work on Seron.

Andra can't get the copter part back into her GoGoGadget fedora.

Nyx is alternating between feeling guilty about Yves and having a good time harassing Cytorix with her kazoo skills.

Ka is taking Talia out and painting the town red.

Angelique is enjoying life, teaching Jim to dance, and also dancing with Ziz, who is teaching her modern dances as well as modern music.

Keona has been devoting a lot of her time to tutoring Aaron in the ways of support and defensive magics, as well as engaging in some research regarding cyborgs and healing magics for a new spell she's been slaving over.

Ryuji has been more antisocial than usual, having thrown himself into his mechanical studies on powered armor and general goings on in the hangar.

Anri has mellowed considerably during her time here, actually spending time just watching people like Seiya, Genevieve

Ralf has been primarily adjusting to family life - whether it's awkward tension with Sokai, Genny or Crono or any combination, he's certainly got that part down cold. He's also sifting through information to try to find information on the next mission.

Aaron is BUSY. After deciding to go for a dual specialization - cybernetics and magical theory - and being the only Marshal to attempt this since Sokai Hemmingway did years ago, he's only barely managing not to crack. Help is plentiful, though, so he's not dead yet. He also dyed his hair blue.

Galvan is ALSO adjusting to family life but it's considerably...less awkward, for him. Everything else, however, is trying to adjust to a very different ship while, at the same time, trying to be a very different Galvan Swiftblade. He seems to have thrown in his lot with a faction at war with his wife's own faction; this puts him at a bit of unease.

Shaila is in a very very good mood. Between Galvan being back and getting rid of the Gift of Time, things couldn't be better for her unless Verse came back. She's dyed her hair light brown, and otherwise is going through the usual routine of gunsmithing, security work and filling in the time between. She's also worried all this time in space is getting her too pale, losing her healthy tan.

Baelor is keeping busy with his smithy work, having just completed a new sword for Sokai.

Ferdinand is settling into life on the ship, having picked out Biometrics as his favorite place.

Genevieve has adopted the name Genevieve Arinborn Derrison to signify new family ties. She has also formally accepted the position of Chief Science Officer's Assistant after months of off-and-on informal assistance. In addition, she is taking lessons on firearms under Sokai Hemmingway's tutelage, as part of a cadet's educational requirements to attain Marshalship certification. If all of that wasn't enough to keep her occupied, she is also working to aid Keona in theorycrafting for her healing magic.

Seiya has been testing dimensional rifts using shikigami, as targets of opportunity arise. She has also been taking time weekly to give Anri lessons in conversational and formal etiquette. She is currently awaiting a meeting with Marshal Jhorn Riddil involving some confidential matters.
